This recognition highlights the University’s commitment to advancing academic excellence and broadening access to education for talented students regardless of financial circumstance.
The Honhaar Undergraduate Scholarship Program, an initiative of the Government of Punjab under the Higher Education Department, and Punjab Higher Education Commission (PHEC) represents one of the country's most impressive educational support schemes. The program offers 30,000 new scholarships, is merit-based, and is designed explicitly for high-achieving students with limited financial resources. It covers the full tuition fee of successful applicants, thereby alleviating financial pressures and enabling them to devote their energies fully to their studies.
The scholarship covers the entire duration of undergraduate degree programs (4 to 5 years), and selection will be based on transparent academic merit criteria, with 30% weightage to Matriculation results and 70% to Intermediate results. The final application deadline is September 15, 2025, and applications must be submitted exclusively through the online portal at https://honhaarscholarship.punjabhec.gov.pk
USP strengthens its academic profile by providing robust financial support to its most promising students, creating a more equitable and dynamic higher education landscape.
