Innovation, Sustainability and Digital Transformation Conference at the University of Swat, Pakistan

Secretary of Higher Education Capt. (R) Kamran Ahmed Afridi addressed the inauguration Cermony of the International Conference on Innovation, Sustainability & Digital Transformation: A Way Forward for Sustainable Business. During his visit, Secretary Afridi lauded the university's remarkable transformation and significant contributions to the region's higher education and research.

In his address, Prof. Hassan Sher, Vice Chancellor of the university after welcoming Secretary and Honorable Delegates of this conference highlighted the University of Swat's journey of growth and establishment, which he attributed to the tireless efforts of his administrative team faculty, and staff. "The University of Swat has grown its capabilities in higher education and research in the region," he remarked.

In his remarks the Secretary Higher Education emphasized the university's proactive approach to introducing new programs and curricula that cater to the latest trends in business technologies and environmental studies. He noted that these initiatives are crucial in equipping students with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in a rapidly evolving global economy.

Secretary Afridi's address also focused on the establishment of specialized research centers at the university. He underscored the potential for these centers to significantly expand the university's research capabilities. "These centers will not only foster cutting-edge research but will also create valuable opportunities for collaboration with industries and academia locally and internationally," he stated.
The Secretary also commended the university's commitment to eco-friendly practices in its campus operations. He expressed his satisfaction with the institution's efforts to promote sustainability, noting that such practices are essential.

The Vice Chancellor of the University of Swat acknowledged the strong support that the University of Swat has received from the district administration, local public representatives, and business leaders. He highlighted the university's role in the socio-economic development of the Swat Valley, emphasizing its importance as a vital part of the community and making the audience feel appreciated and recognized for their contributions.
