Pakistan's higher education sector has achieved a landmark success in the QS World University Rankings 2027, with two of its premier institutions earning places among the world's top 500 universities. Quaid-i-Azam University Islamabad secured an impressive 381st position, while National University of Sciences & Technology (NUST) closely followed at 384th place.

 

This outstanding achievement is a matter of immense national pride and reflects the growing international recognition of Pakistan's academic and research excellence. Securing positions within the world's top 500 universities places these institutions among global leaders in higher education and demonstrates Pakistani universities' potential to compete on the international stage.

 

Equally encouraging is the fact that 16 other Pakistani universities also earned places in the QS World University Rankings 2027. Their inclusion among the 1,504 universities ranked worldwide highlights the steady progress being made across the country's higher education landscape.
