The Heart of Skills Education – The Teachers with Absolute Devotion in the Institution
Posted 11 months ago
Any academic institution's true strength and prestige reside in its faculty, the devoted people who do not merely teach but inspire and elevate the intellectual and personal capacities of the students to the greatest possible height. This case, for instance, is from Pakistan National Skills University Islamabad (NSU), where Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Mukhtar sets a classic example of how important it is to build a competent faculty who will not just teach but mold the future leaders of tomorrow.
At the Orientation Day 2024 held by NSU, a yearly tradition for greeting the learners and briefing them about the faculty and the university's departments, Prof. Mukhtar introduced all the department heads to students and praised their work. It was not just a nice gesture; it was an understanding of how institutional fidelity and focused leadership contribute to building an engaging academic environment. Employees such as professors work for the institution's organization as knowledge providers and as guides for the youth. By pointing out their contributions, Prof. Mukhtar made the important point that the faculty's loyalty and motivation are the cornerstone of any productive University and not the other way around.
There is a great need to inculcate this culture of belonging and loyalty towards the university and its community. Faculty members who feel appreciated will stick to their institution, a factor that is important for the achievement of their students in the long run. Such a policy within NSU correlates with the realization that investment in people, including simple public appreciation or institutional support, can only yield returns if institutional loyalty is enhanced.
It's a lesson that universities everywhere should heed: no innovation or infrastructure can replace the irreplaceable asset of a committed, empowered faculty. This understanding is crucial for the sustained growth of academic excellence.
