Former Federal Secretary IT and Telecom Visiting NSU IT Laboratories

Skills learning facilities and unique teaching methodologies make National Skills University Islamabad (NSU) the most prominent institution and a model to follow by others. Pakistani youth need excellent and contemporary skills training, thus enhancing their readiness to contribute towards the national economy and prosperity. This was stated by Dr. Zafar Iqbal Qadir, former Federal Secretary in the Ministry of IT and Telecom. He elaborated on the global demand for a healthy workforce based on his former experience as Economic Minister to the World Trade Organization in Geneva, Switzerland.

Pakistan has a healthy workforce ready to contribute inside the country and abroad, provided they have job-ready skills. Tweaking educational programs at the model of NSU, i.e., empowering youth with workplace-ready skills, could strengthen the country's youth to contribute inside and abroad. Moreover, robust IT infrastructure is the backbone of academic institutions due to the changing nature of job markets. Despite being relatively new, the NSU has established the most powerful IT infrastructure in collaboration with industry aligning with the requirements of producing human resources ready for workplaces dependent on emerging technologies.

The Vice-Chancellor of National Skills University Islamabad thanked Dr. Qadir and his entire team from the Taleem Foundation. It was agreed that NSU and Taleem Foundation would jointly work to popularize online training.
