Supported by the Government of Pakistan, the Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology has launched a groundbreaking initiative: three-month free IT training courses targeting young professionals. This initiative aims to equip the youth with essential digital skills and is not merely an academic exercise but a strategic intervention to position Pakistan on the global technology map.

The courses, which will be conducted across multiple institutions in Islamabad, focus on high-demand fields such as Full Stack Development, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Java Development. By opening these opportunities to students in their 7th semester and beyond and graduates up to 40, the initiative ensures that a broad segment of Pakistan’s aspiring technologists can access cutting-edge education without financial barriers.

Digital transformation is reshaping economies, and such training programs can serve as a powerful tool for economic mobility. The global demand for skilled IT professionals continues to outpace supply, and nations that proactively invest in human capital stand to benefit immensely.

Moreover, the program’s emphasis on gender inclusivity, with designated institutions for female students, reflects a progressive approach to workforce development.
