Bridging Nations Through Vocational Excellence: Meeting Among Pakistani TVET Providers Including National Skills University Islamabad and Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University

In a meeting facilitated by The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, representatives from the National Skills University Islamabad (NSU) and Georgia's Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University converged to explore avenues of collaboration and exchange in vocational education. Several other TVET-provider institutions, including the National University of Technology (NUTECH), also participated in this meeting.

The Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University is recognized for its academic excellence and innovative vocational/skills educational programs. The meeting served as a platform for institutions to share insights, experiences, and aspirations in the field of vocational education.
Central to the discussions was the Ph.D. Vocational Education program at Tbilisi State University was lauded by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Mukhtar, Vice Chancellor of NSU, for its pioneering approach to enhancing the capabilities of vocational/skills education researchers. This program, developed by Tbilisi State University in collaboration with German experts,  aims to equip researchers, leaders, and practitioners with the tools and knowledge necessary to drive transformative reforms in vocational education.

Experts from Tbilisi State University also shared Georgia's Strategy for 2030, highlighting key milestones in vocational education reforms. Ms. Irma Grdzelidze and Dr. Ruso Sanadze shed light on the innovative initiatives undertaken by the Ministry of Education, Science, and Youth of Georgia, signaling a commitment to shaping a future-oriented education system.

In a display of shared goals and aspirations, institutions from Pakistan expressed a keen interest in fostering collaboration and partnership. Prof. Mukhtar and his team showcased NSU's endeavors to promote skills education in Pakistan, while the Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University team commended NSU's efforts to advance vocational excellence in the region.

As the dialogue between NSU and Tbilisi State University continues to unfold, it symbolizes not only a convergence of educational ideologies, committed to international collaborations with a  drive for meaningful change and progress in vocational education. Through shared expertise, innovative approaches, and a commitment to excellence, these institutions are poised to shape the future of vocational education and empower individuals to thrive in fast-changing job markets.
