Prof. Dr. Muhammad Mukhtar, Rector of the University of Southern Punjab (USP) in Multan, attended the 5th Meeting of the Regulatory Committee of the Inter Boards Coordination Commission (IBCC) in Islamabad, convened by Dr. Ghulam Ali Mallah, Executive Director of IBCC.
During the meeting, Prof. Mukhtar moved a formal motion of appreciation recognizing Dr. Mallah’s outstanding service to education and public administration, particularly his contribution to the modernization and digital transformation of the IBCC. His service has recently received national recognition through a civil award conferred by the Government of Pakistan.
Speaking at the meeting, Prof. Mukhtar praised Dr. Mallah for what he described as a sustained commitment to institutional reform and to service for Pakistan’s young people. He noted that he had personally witnessed the IBCC’s continued progress and transformation, describing its evolution as a model for other federal organizations working with the country’s youth.
“The transformation underway at IBCC demonstrates what can be achieved when institutional leadership is paired with a clear vision for digitalization, efficiency, and service to young people,” Prof. Mukhtar observed.
The appreciation came at a significant moment for IBCC, an organization whose work connects Pakistan’s examination boards and plays an important role in helping students navigate the country’s education system. Under Dr. Mallah’s leadership, the commission has increasingly embraced digital processes and institutional modernization, reflecting the broader shift toward technology-enabled public services.
The meeting also opened the door to greater engagement between IBCC and the educational institutions of Southern Punjab. Prof. Mukhtar invited Dr. Mallah to convene a meeting of the Southern Punjab Boards at the University of Southern Punjab in Multan, an invitation Dr. Mallah accepted, with the intention of holding the meeting there soon.
The proposed gathering is expected to provide an opportunity for education leaders and examination authorities from Southern Punjab to discuss emerging challenges, strengthen coordination and explore further avenues for digital transformation and student facilitation.
In a gesture of appreciation, Prof. Mukhtar presented a bouquet to Dr. Mallah, congratulating him on his national recognition and acknowledging the impact of his services, which have earned recognition both within Pakistan and beyond.
The exchange between the two education leaders underscored a broader message: institutional transformation is ultimately measured not only by new systems and technologies but also by the quality of services delivered to students and the opportunities created for the next generation.
