Students from NSU's Department of Mechanical Engineering Technology, under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Shehryar Manzoor and Dr. Sadia Khan, brought not only their knowledge but also their creativity and drive to the 30th Pakistan Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration (HVACR) International Expo & Conference 2025 floor. Their live demonstrations, hands-on models, and forward-thinking designs didn't just showcase academic rigor; they demonstrated what it means to be industry-ready in a rapidly transforming technical world.

 

This wasn't an exercise in presentation. It was a reflection of NSU's deeply rooted educational philosophy: skills-based, problem-solving, and directly aligned with real-world challenges. Their booth, brimming with practical innovations, from innovative climate control systems to efficient mechanical components adapted to Pakistan's environment, illustrated how classroom learning can evolve into scalable industrial solutions.

 

"We're not just producing graduates we're training creators, technicians, and thinkers who are capable of influencing the future of engineering in Pakistan," said Dr. Shehryar Manzoor.

 

The HVACR International Expo & Conference 2025, held from June 19 to 21 at the Lahore Expo Centre. Hosted under the theme "Sustainable Environments Through HVACR Technology," this year's edition brought together expanding domains of HVACR, Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing (MEP), and Building Materials Services to create a future-facing platform for innovation, sustainable design, and industrial collaboration.

 

With participation from over 33 international companies, including first-time exhibitors from Germany, alongside industry leaders from China, Turkey, Ukraine, and Iran, the 2025 Expo solidified Pakistan's growing significance in the global HVACR landscape. Featuring more than 250 exhibitors and attended by thousands of professionals, the Expo wasn't just a display of equipment; it was a crucible of ideas, showcasing energy-efficient solutions and frontier technologies aimed at reshaping built environments across the region.

What made NSU's participation truly impactful wasn't just what they displayed but who engaged with it. Seasoned engineers, entrepreneurs, international delegates, and top-tier HVACR companies visited the university's exhibit, many of whom left impressed with the technical depth and clarity demonstrated by the students.

"We emphasize that our students must be as comfortable in the industrial field as they are in labs," remarked Dr. Sadia Khan. "Events like this one are essential in bridging that gap."
