Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) approved the adoption of Wi-Fi 7 (and future Wi-Fi generations) in the 6 GHz band (5925–6425 MHz). Through this initiative, the country is now among the early adopters of this next-generation wireless standard in the Asia-Pacific region.

According to CISCO technologies, "Wi-Fi 7, officially known as IEEE standard 802.11be, represents the next generation of wireless networking technology. It aims to significantly enhance performance, speed, and efficiency compared to its predecessors, Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 6E."

Wi-Fi 7 brings a host of benefits that promise to revolutionize the way we connect. With ultra-fast speeds, lower latency, and the capacity to support demanding applications like 8K streaming, remote medical procedures, and industrial automation, it's not just about the big leaps in technology. For ordinary citizens, it could mean smoother video calls, fewer dropped signals, and networks that don’t choke when too many devices are connected, ushering in a new era of seamless connectivity.
